About Jon Sayler:

I have been practicing in North Idaho and Eastern Washington for 30 years. My own firm, Jon R. Sayler Architect AIA PS, was founded in 1982. I am a licensed, registered architect in Idaho, Washington, Montana and Arizona. I am located in downtown Sandpoint, Idaho. Our firm has a full time experienced staff of 4. All drawings are produced in Auto-CAD and in 3-D Sketchup.

My practice is centered on custom designed residential projects, with specialties being waterfront, and difficult topography at mountain sites. I have projects completed at all the local waterways including Lake Coeur d’Alene, Hayden Lake, Lake Pend Oreille, Priest Lake and the Pend Oreille and Spokane rivers. I have a long history of commercial “design oriented” projects as well (that means projects where cool, fun design is important).

Energy-efficient, green materials are particular interests, as well as how a building fits into a specific locale. I believe that I have been successful because the buildings that I carefully produce are fun and even exciting to live in, easy to care for and operate. They also have been designed to meet the budget requirements.
